FedEx Cup Standings 2013: Henrik Stenson Will Win Massive Playoff Payday

The 37-year-old Swede finished the Deutsche Bank Championship at a whopping 22-under-par. That was good enough to give him a two-stroke victory over second-place Steve Stricker.
With this miraculous shot out of the bunker on No. 17, Stenson all but sealed the deal.
This win helped propel him past the likes of Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Tiger Woods to the top of the FedEx Cup Standings.
Take a look at those standings, and then I'll explain why I'm convinced Stenson is headed towards the title and the $10 million payday that comes with it.
These rankings come via PGATour.com. They are not yet official and are the projected rankings after the completion of the Deutsche Bank Championship.
While Stenson has left little doubt he is the hottest player going right now, this was his first win of the year. In fact, this is his first PGA win since he took the Players Championship in 2009.
At that time, Stenson seemed poised for a run of great golf. However, injuries and a prolonged slump had him tumbling towards irrelevance in a slide that bottomed out when he hit 621 in the world rankings.
Those struggles are all a part of the past now. Stenson has been playing wonderfully all year. He's made 15 PGA starts and has missed just two cuts. He is also finishing on a high note.
In his last five starts, Stenson has three top-three finishes. And those came in huge events. He has a second at the British Open, a second at the WGC Bridgestone and a third at the PGA Championship.
It was clear he was due for a win, and he did not disappoint.
