Fed- Ex Cup Changes and Current Rankings: New Faces Emerge As Stars

His two PGA Tour wins in four weeks, vaulted him to second overall in the Fed-Ex Cup point standings with 1542 points, only trailing Ernie Els.
Els is in first place as well with two wins and 1751 points. A few high finishes have him slightly ahead of Rose for the season.
Now in third, is Phil Mickelson, looking ahead to the Open at St. Andrews, and the PGA Championship. Mickelson has 1521 points.
Jim Furyk, with the benefit of two wins earlier in the 2010 season is fourth in the point standings with 1479 points.
Ben Crane has been very solid this season, and is sitting in fifth place in the point standings with 1222 points.
All of these top ten listed players will be in the Fed-Ex Cup opening playoff tournament for sure as the points are many, and the missed cuts few.
Anthony Kim is sixth in the point standings with 1215 points, and still recovering from a thumb injury that currently limits his competition. Expect Kim to contend for this title in 2010.
Tim Clark broke through with a win on US soil this season, and is playing great golf week to week on the PGA Tour. Clarke is in seventh with 1195 points.
Despite having a bad Open final day, Dustin Johnson is hanging in there with that win at Pebble earlier this year, and eighth place in the points with 1137 points.
Robert Allenby has a win, and has been near leader boards often this season. He is currently in ninth with 1129 points.
The last spot in the top ten of the Fed-Ex Cup Standings is held by Bubba Watson.
Look for Bubba to play well at the John Deere Classic this week, and hopefully stay in the top ten.
