Deutsche Bank Championship Odds 2016: Jason Day a Solid Betting Favorite

Day finished in a three-way tie for fourth at The Barclays, taking home $351,000, which is more than $1 million less than Reed earned in winning the tournament by one stroke over Sean O’Hair and Emiliano Grillo. Day was also the betting favorite at The Barclays.
Reed is listed at +2200 to repeat the feat at the Deutsche Bank Championship, while defending champion Fowler is +2000 on those golf betting lines as he tries to work his way onto the American Ryder Cup team. Fowler needed to place third at The Barclays to jump Zach Johnson for a spot on the team and finished in a three-way tie for seventh to pick up $265,000.
Others in the mix at the top of the betting board for the Deutsche Bank Championship include Dustin Johnson (+1000), Jordan Spieth (+1200), Rory McIlroy (+1200) and Henrik Stenson (+1600).
Dustin Johnson finished in a tie for 18th at The Barclays with a two-under-par 282, seven shots behind the winner Reed. Fowler edged Stenson last year by one stroke to win the Deutsche Bank Championship after shooting a 15-under-par 269.
Spieth had one of his best showings in nearly two months at The Barclays, tying for 10th overall with a five-under-par 279, one shot behind Fowler. He placed third in the Bridgestone Invitational in early July and struggled in two of the previous three major events, the British Open and the U.S. Open.
McIlroy did not fare well at The Barclays, finishing in a tie for 31st at even par with a 284. He is obviously not in top form here, missing the cut in two of his previous three tournaments before that as well.
