Deutsche Bank Championship 2012: Five Golfers Who Pose a Threat to Tiger Woods

As the first round wrapped up, the leaderboard had a familiar contender sitting near the top.
Tiger Woods has been able to rebound in 2012 and to frequently threaten the top stop in tournaments, but he has also made a theme out of struggling during the weekend portion of tournaments.
The Deutsche Bank Championship hasn't been an exception thus far. Wood enters Saturday, tied for third at seven under par, and will look to maintain his score throughout the weekend.
As Woods attempts to shed his reputation as a weekend choker, he'll need to outplay a handful of competitors who pose a real threat.
Here are five golfers who have a shot at devastating Woods this weekend.
Chris Kirk
The 27-year-old Chris Kirk has three professional wins since becoming a pro in 2007, but he hasn't put together a victory since 2010.
Kirk scored a 32 on the back nine to give him a score of 63 in the first round, which ties his PGA career best score for a single round.
In order to truly give Woods fits, Kirk will be required to maintain a level of production that he's not really used to.
Regardless, Kirk is someone to keep an eye on this weekend.
Phil Mickelson
In 2007, Phil Mickelson won the Deutsche Tournament with an impressive final score of 16 under par, which was enough to upset runner-up Tiger Woods by two strokes.
During that tournament, he scored 70 in the first round and picked up intense momentum in the final rounds. This year, he scored a 68 in the first round, so he's off to an even better start than his 2007 performance.
