An afternoon storm delayed play Friday, eventually forcing the second round to be suspended because of darkness. Round 2 will resume Saturday morning.

Molder led after Round 1, and he will be the leader when play resumes Saturday. He posted a three-under through 15 holes Friday to bring his overall score to nine under par. He holds a one-stroke lead over Webb Simpson and a two-stroke lead over Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed, who both turned in solid performances Friday.
Molder teed off late because of the storm, but he put together a blistering start a day after shooting a 64, as the PGA Tour showed:
Simpson entered the competition in the middle of a rough patch, per the PGA Tour's media relations department:
Yet he looks to be a threat to win the tournament. Golf Channel noted this may be due to a new approach to his game:
Simpson was able to finish his round, so he will be able to sleep in while Molder and other contenders such as Jason Dufner and Reed have to complete the second round before starting Round 3.
Spieth is in the same boat as Simpson. The 22-year-old has struggled since collapsing at the Masters, as he missed the cut at The Players Championship before tying for 18th at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
He is now only two shots off the lead and looking more like his old self, as the PGA Tour showed:
Molder is looking sharp, but Spieth will want to prove he has recovered from his Masters debacle. With the U.S. Open coming up in June, Spieth will look to climb the leaderboard Saturday and put himself in position to notch a win before golf's next major tournament.
