Clint Eastwood Reportedly Saves Pebble Beach Official from Choking

ESPN reports the legendary actor sprang into action at Pebble Beach when a tournament official was in dire need of some help after choking:
Eastwood attended a volunteers party on the eve of the PGA Tour event Wednesday night at the Monterey Conference Center, and he noticed tournament director Steve John choking on some cheese. The 83-year-old actor/director quickly performed the Heimlich maneuver.
The Carmel Pine Cone's Paul Miller has more from the scary incident at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, getting a few words from a relieved John, who is the event's CEO.
He stated very clearly, "Clint saved my life."
As far as how things transpired (h/t San Jose Mercury News), John recalled, "A piece of cheese went in my mouth, and suddenly I couldn't breathe. It was as bad as it could have been. But Clint came up behind me and he knew exactly what to do. He did the Heimlich maneuver and he lifted me right off the ground."
Per ESPN, John weighs 202 pounds, which means you can laud Eastwood's strength with the rest of his heroic efforts.
At 83 years old, Eastwood has a wealth of experience, none of which includes ever attempting the life-saving move on an actual person.
The actor, who starred in such movies as Dirty Harry, Unforgiven and Gran Torino, spoke with the Pine Cone, via San Jose Mercury News:
