Bubba Watson Leads at Firestone: Tiger Bungles Through the Jungle

Bubba Watson fired a first round 64 to lead the WGC Championship at Firestone.
There was not too much firepower going on for once, as Firestone is fair but still tough enough for even top-notch professionals such as Tiger Woods, who could only manage a 74.
He and other familiar names such as James Kingston and Rhys Davies shot around 75 also. Do you catch a hint of sarcasm here? OK, I'll lay off until tomorrow when hopefully Tiger can shoot a 64 instead of a 74.
Tiger is not on my fantasy team as a starter this week. That was smart, huh. Only a fool could use Tiger in hopes of a win until he plays his way out of this slump. If he can?
Kenny Perry is in second place only two back of Watson, much improved after missing the cut at the Greenbrier Classic last week.
Also tied for second are two higher profile golf names in Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott, as these better players all practice for a tough go around at Whistling Straits next week.
Graeme McDowell, a previous winner this season, is also in that mix, tied at minus four and in second place with those other three gentlemen.
My Yahoo Fantasy Golf team of Stricker, Westwood, Holmes, and Kuchar did fair, with Stricker at a decent minus two, Westwood at plus one, Holmes at plus four, and Kuchar saving the team at one under.
Time to call in the bench as we will sit Westwood and Holmes and insert Retief Goosen and Nick Watney, playing better at minus three and minus two on Thursday.
There, that looks better as they are in sixth, two tied for 11th and 18th. That will work.
It looks doubtful we will use Tiger this week, as he is Strickers' backup, and I predicted Stricker could be a winner here this week and of course is my A fantasy player.
