British Open Standings 2014: Live Updated Look at Day 3 Leaderboard Results

Rory McIlroy continues to cling to his lead; however, he's being heavily challenged by several players, most notably Rickie Fowler. These two 25-year-old phenoms are putting on quite a show to begin the weekend.
Here's a look at the current leaderboard:
It's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride for McIlroy, who isn't quite resembling the form he showed during his first two rounds of 66.
For the second consecutive day, McIlroy began his round with a bogey on the par-four first hole, but he recovered nicely with a birdie on the par-five fifth and made the turn at even for the day. After a birdie at the 11th, McIlroy missed a short par putt on the 12th to return to level par and 12 under for the tournament.
Although, McIlroy's recent bogey hasn't exactly been a trend, as ESPN Stats & Info points out:
With McIlroy unable to go low on Saturday, the door was opened for the surging Fowler.
No stranger to great performances in majors this year, Fowler finished T5 at the Masters and T2 at the U.S. Open. Now, he's making a run at the British Open.
An absolute machine on Saturday at Royal Liverpool, Fowler completed his front nine with a score of 32 to move him to nine under for the tournament. This gorgeous birdie putt at the par-four second pretty much summed up the early portion of his round:
Fowler didn't stop there, as he birdied the first three holes of the back nine to join McIlroy for the lead at 12 under. PGA Tour quickly tweeted the sudden tie atop the leaderboard:
He's on a torrid pace and looks headed for the final pairing on Sunday should he continue.
