BMW Championship 2013: Key Storylines Ahead of Sunday’s Final Round

Woods is one of the many notable players who will have a chance to earn an important victory toward the FedEx Cup standings on Sunday. After Saturday's play, nine golfers are within six shots of Jim Furyk at the top of the leaderboard.
Here are three of the biggest storylines going into Sunday's action.
Jim Furyk in Prime Position for 1st Tournament Win of 2013
After becoming the sixth golfer in history to shoot a 59 on Friday, Furyk played another great round on Saturday to take a one-shot lead over Steve Stricker going into the final day.
Furyk has been phenomenal on the back nine throughout the tournament with just two bogeys, nine birdies and an eagle in 27 holes.
Despite having six top-10 finishes in 2013, Furyk has yet to win a tournament this season. With that said, the former major champion is playing some of his best golf of the year right now with three top-10 finishes in his last four events.
If Furyk is able to avoid any costly bogeys on the front nine, he will have a tremendous chance to win this tournament, given his incredible success on the back nine over the last three days.
Tiger Woods has a Chance to Win After Impressive 3rd Round
The final round of the BMW Championship got a whole lot more interesting on Saturday with Tiger Woods skyrocketing up the leaderboard after shooting five under par on Saturday. At nine under par through three rounds, the 37-year-old is four strikes behind Furyk.
As Justin Ray of ESPN notes, it was one of Woods' finest rounds of the season.
If he wasn't given a two-stroke penalty on Friday, Woods might be the favorite to win this tournament.
