Barclays 2014 Leaderboard Day 3: Scores, Standings and Results

Under comfortably cloudy skies at Ridgewood Country Club, plenty of players took aim at the top of the leaderboard over the course of the day, looking to accumulate valuable points in the FedEx Cup playoff.
Jason Day started his round at six under par and worked his way up the ranks until a double-bogey on 13 dropped him out of top spot. He recovered nicely from the setback, picking up the dropped strokes and finishing the day in a tie for the lead.
Meanwhile, steady Jim Furyk was a model of consistency. He started the day at seven under and posted a bogey-free, two under round for the day.
Hunter Mahan sits one shot off the pace at eight under, with a chase pack of seven golfers two shots back.
After a strong performance on Friday, Rory McIlroy was only able to pick up one shot, firing a 70. He remains five behind the leaders.
As for Phil Mickelson, his 75 left him on the wrong side of the secondary cut, so he'll be out of action on Sunday. He did, however, provide some fine entertainment when he fired his ball into the grandstand on the fifth hole for the second straight day—then chipped onto the green to make par.
Sunny skies are expected on Sunday as a wide-open field competes for The Barclays championship and valuable FedEx Cup playoff points.
