Anthony Kim: Did the “Loose Cannon” Party Too Much in Vegas?

The 25-year-old apparently threw a party in Las Vegas where he reportedly began spraying champagne from a $25,000 bottle of Dom Perignon all over a dance floor.
There were even claims of up to 115 bottles being sprayed all around by Kim before he popped the top on the $25,000 Dom Perignon.
A dealer at the Bellagio has dubbed Kim a "loose cannon" due to his wild behavior. DJ Exodus, who performed at the club in Vegas where Kim cut loose with the champagne tweeted that, "Anthony Kim is an animal...115 bottles then to top it off a 25k bottle of Dom, which he showered the dance floor with."
Pretty impressive for someone who recently recovered from thumb surgery and had previously agreed to participate in Justin Timberlake's charity event. Timberlake's charity golf event was the reason Kim was even in Vegas at the time.
This behavior is not new to Anthony Kim. In 2009, Kim was accused by fellow golf pro, Robert Allenby of staying up all night and drinking till dawn (approximately 4 am), which would have been no big deal except for the fact that Kim had a match that very day.
Kim's behavior has hurt him professionally as well as publicly. He had his European Tour application rejected due to his lack of participating in the minimum of 12 tournaments required for qualification.
Kim had hoped to obtain a medical exemption, but the tour committee stated that he had not made enough attempts to participate in any events after he was healed from the surgery.
Burning his bridges with celebrities, sponsors and fellow golf pros will take an effect on Kim if he continues down this road. There have been many great athletes who burn out before they ever reach the peak of their profession.
