Olesen maintained his stunning form after three days of play, posting a round of 65 on Saturday at the spiritual home of golf.
The Dane has had no equal during the competition—scoring a round of 68 on Thursday, and a 66 on Friday.
Olesen started his day with a bogey on the first hole, but he soon recovered his form to storm ahead. Four birdies from the next eight holes restored the golfer's confidence, and he attacked the second nine with verve.
He birdied four of the last five holes to sit three shots ahead of the chasing pack, only needing to maintain his form to have a great chance of winning the title.
