Adam Scott: Breaking Down Australian’s Chances at Remaining Majors in 2013

Scott showed tremendous courage and focus to hang on for the win in fading light and driving rain, and he deserves all the accolades that have come his way.
Yet for Scott, the green jacket won at Augusta National is not the end, it merely is the latest step in his quest to become one of the world's top golfers. And judging by his 2013 performances, it seems he's well on his way.
Scott has several top 10 finishes and has missed just one cut in his last 21 tournaments. With a new-found confidence that comes from winning a major, expect the Australian to be tough to beat and a threat for the three remaining majors in 2013—the U.S. Open, the British Open and the PGA Championship, respectively.

U.S. Open—June 13-16, Merion Golf Club
History hasn't been too kind to Scott at the U.S. Open. The Australian has missed the cut six times in the last decade and has not shot a sub-par finish in his time at the hallowed event.
Scott drove at just 41 percent accuracy last year and is seemingly in a difficult position to challenge for this year's title given the venue at Merion—a course that, historically, suits those with a strong par-four game and short-iron style.
That simply isn't Scott, who revels on the longer holes—as shown by his poor numbers on par-four holes in 2012. Barring a minor miracle and a change in his short-iron game, it's difficult to see Scott being competitive against some of the premier short-game players in the world.
