It will give the players a difficult test and identify the best lady golfer in the land.
Lydia Ko is a 16-year-old golf prodigy from New Zealand. She has already won four professional titles as an amateur. Ko won the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship and is ranked as the No. 1 amateur in the world.
Ladbrokes has rated Ko at 25/1 to win this week. She has proven that she can compete with the best golfers in the world and is a true threat to win this week at Sebonack.
Can an amateur win one of the biggest golf tournaments in the world?
Yani Tseng is rated at 40/1 to win her sixth major championship. Just last year Tseng was the No. 1 ranked player in the world, had three wins early in 2012 and was expected to add more major hardware to her trophy case.
Tseng has fallen to No. 7 in the world, though. and seems to have lost her desire to be the best. Golf fans want to see her regain the world class form that made her the youngest golfer ever to win five major championships.
With the pressure off to perform as the No. 1 ranked player in the world, can Tseng rebound to win at Sebonack?
Karrie Webb is 38 years old and has been one of the best lady golfers in the world for 20 years. She won earlier this month at the ShopRite LPGA Classic and has moved to No. 8 on the Rolex Rankings.
Sebonack is just the type of golf course a wily veteran could excel on. At 25/1 she could be a good bet to win her eighth major title.
