2011 AT&T Pebble Bleach National Pro-Am Preview: It’s All About The Stars

The format of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am features four rounds with each PGA golfer paired by an amateur. The first three rounds are rotated between Monterrey Golf Links, Spyglass Hill, and Pebble Beach. After three rounds, the top 60 PGA golfers and the top 25 pro-am teams advance to the final round at Pebble Beach.
But many players, most notably Tiger Woods, have criticized Pebble Beach because of its uneven and bumpy greens. Also, the PGA golfers don't get much TV time compared to the likes of George Lopez, Kenny G, Michael Bolton, Kelly Slater, Tony Romo, Carson Daly, Ray Romano, and of course, Bill Murray.
Murray's antics have made him a household name at Pebble Beach. You just never know as to what the former Saturday Night Live cast member will do next.
And so this weekend, golf will be more exciting with the celebrities around. Because even the Bob Hope Classic, the PGA golfers get more TV time than the celebrities but at Pebble Beach, it's a whole other ballgame.
