Mr. Friday Nico Rossberg Back on P1 in Practice Two

Alguersari kicked us off by setting a first time of 2:02:757 encouragingly after only a five minute wait. He was joined by the Force India of Liuzzi and McLaren of Button. I’m sorry to say that for the second session running, the position graphic was missing from the left hand part of the screen!
I can tell you though that after 10 minutes, Button led Luizzi, Alonso and Massa. However, new boy Hulkenburg was going very well and quickly dispatched Button with a 1:56:799.
The story at McLaren was that Button was faster in the first sector, with Hamilton quicker in the final two. However, the number two man was struggling with his rear tyres and radioed in to tell the team they were dead after only four laps…is this a future worry?
Meanwhile, Mr Friday soon regained his crown as Rosberg crossed the line with a 1:55:555. The young German gained P1 after just 17 minutes and he pretty much stayed there for the rest of the session.
What of Red Bull then at this stage? Well Webber was again slow in P12, but Vettel was finding some pace.
Half an hour in the positions were as follows:
Rosberg, Hamilton, Schumacher, Button, Hulkenburg, Barrachello, Sutil, Liuzzi, Alonso, Kubica, Massa, Webber, Alguersuari, de la Rossa, Kobayashi, di Grassi, Kovalainen, Trulli.
Now, having been so strong in P1 it may be a shock to see the Ferraris in P9 and P11. However, the team had decided to go on long runs for this session.
Having tested the harder compound, both McLaren drivers rejoined the session around this time with the softer compound fitted.
