Monaco Grand Prix 2012 Winner: Mark Webber Ready to Dominate Formula One

The 35-year-old ran a flawless race Sunday in Monte Carlo, starting from the pole position and finishing 0.6 seconds ahead of German Nico Rosberg. It was the eighth win of Webber's career and the third consecutive victory at the race for team Red Bull.
The win also served as a strong statement to the rest of the field.
With his first victory of 2012, Webber earned 25 points, launching him into a tie for second place atop the Formula One standings.
Fernando Alonso of Ferrari is currently first with 76 points, while Webber and Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel are right behind with 73. Lewis Hamilton of McLaren-Mercedes is a somewhat distant fourth with 63 points.
While the majority of the season is still ahead of us (14 races remaining), I'm expecting this win to spring Webber into a summer of dominance. He has finished third in each of the last two seasons, and he looks ready to finally claim his first Formula One crown.
He has finished fourth or better in five of his six races this season, and judging by his performance on Sunday, he won't be slowing down anytime soon.
His teammate, Vettel, has won the last two titles, and Alonso and Hamilton will be in contention throughout the season. However, I'm expecting 2012 to be the year that Mark Webber finally gains Formula One supremacy.
