German Grand Prix Cut from 2015 Formula 1 Schedule: Latest Details, Reaction

News of the race’s cancellation was confirmed by Rob Harris of The Associated Press:
The council released the following accompanying statement, per BBC Sport: "The German Grand Prix has been withdrawn as the commercial rights holder and promoter did not reach agreement."
According to BBC Sport, the race has been scrapped after the sport’s chief executive, Bernie Ecclestone, failed to reach an agreement with the aforementioned promoters.
The Nurburgring ring was initially scheduled to host the race this season as part of the natural alternation with itself and the Hockenheim circuit. But a deal with the former venue fell through, and despite requests to reschedule the race for Hockenheim, the track will not be ready in time for the allotted race weekend of July 17-19.
Tancredi Palmeri of beIN Sports is disappointed a race that boasts such tradition will not be run this year:
The cancellation of the Grand Prix will be a major blow to F1 fans, especially those in Germany who flock in their thousands year upon year to see the world's finest drivers.
It means the calendar is now reduced to 19 races, and it’ll be the first time in 60 years that there has been no Formula One race in the home of great champions like Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.
