Formula 1 2013: Sebastian Vettel Proves Dominance with Bahrain GP Victory

The three-time reigning world drivers' champion dominated the field at the Bahrain Grand Prix to defend his title at the race.
Vettel started in second but held the front spot by the 17th lap, and he did not look back. He went onto beat second-place Kimi Raikkonen by nine seconds and was nearly 20 seconds ahead of third-place Romain Grosjean.
Now, just four events into this 19-race season, Vettel is in great position to further etch his name in the history books with a fourth-straight championship.
Only two drivers have won more consecutive championships than Vettel. Juan Manuel Fangio won four straight in the '50s, and Michael Schumacher capped off his fifth straight title in 2004.
With what he has already accomplished, Vettel doesn't need to add anything to this resume to be considered an all-time great, but he likely will.
What he's already done at the age of 25 is amazing. Schumacher was 35 when he won his fifth straight, and Fangio was in his mid-40s.
Schumacher, of course, also had back-to-back titles in the mid-'90s to sit as the all-time champion king with seven titles, but he has to be getting a little nervous regarding his hold on that record.
Vettel is showing no signs of slowing down...even when he is ordered to.
This was Vettel's second win of the young season. His first came at the Malaysian Grand Prix, but that victory came after he was told by his team to come in second.
With just 10 laps remaining in that race, Vettel was in second to teammate Mark Weber. That is when his team told him to ease up as they wanted Webber to save the tread on his tires.
Vettel ignored the command and blew by his teammate.
