The temperature at race time on Sunday in Sakhir will be near 90 degrees (31 C) and there be winds gusting up to 15 miles per hour. So that means the track temperatures will be well over 100 degrees, causing concern that the drivers can stay both hydrated and focused.
NBC Sports Network offers race coverage starting 7:30 a.m ET on Sunday, April 21. They will begin with The Formula One Pre-Race Show and then at 8 a.m. ET they will have live coverage of the 2013 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Formula 1 broadcast team led by announcer Leigh Diffey, along with analysts David Hobbs and Steve Matchett, will be on set in the studio calling the race. Will Buxton, F1 insider and former journalist, will serve as the team’s on-site reporter from Sakhir.
Broadband live streaming of the race can be found at the NBC Sports website with lap-by-lap timing offered at the Formula 1 website.
Those watching in Canada the race can be seen on TSN in English, and RDS has the coverage in French. Broadband options are provided by TSN and RDS, but be sure to check their websites for details.
As for those of you planning on watching the race outside of North America, there are plenty of options. Sky Sports F1 will have the race coverage live in the UK, Sky Sport Germany, Sky Sport F1 Italy, Canal+ Sport in France and in Spain it will air on Antena 3 .
