At the start of Q3, Rosberg quickly set the pace with a time of one minute, 29.606 seconds. In the recurring theme of the day, that was surpassed by Hamilton moments later, but the Englishman's time was deleted after he strayed too far wide at Turn 9:
However, on his final lap, Hamilton ensured he would start at the head of the grid on home soil.
