Jordan Spieth suffered a Masters collapse for the ages in April, but the 22-year-old said Tuesday that he has moved on to the point that he’s laughing about what happened at Augusta National Golf Club. “I’m not taking it very hard,” Spieth told reporters at a FedEx Cares event, per ESPN.com. “I have ladies at grocery stores coming up and putting their hand on me and going: ‘I’m really praying for you. How are you doing?’ And I’m like, ‘My dog didn’t die. I’m doing OK.’ I’ll survive; it happens. It was unfortunate...

The PGA Tour leaves soggy New Orleans for North Carolina and this week’s Wells Fargo Championship. McIlroy headlines this week’s field, which includes a total of eight of the top 12 golfers in the Official World Golf Ranking. Still, all eyes will be on Rory this week, as he seeks his third win at Quail Hollow and tees it up for the first time on the PGA Tour since his 10th-place finish at the Masters. A layout where players try to score on the first 15 holes then hold on through...

Here’s the final leaderboard: Stuard and Jhonattan Vegas held a one-stroke lead coming into the day, but Lovemark and An played their way into the playoff. He finished on 22 under par ahead of Felipe Aguilar, whom he’d been in a gripping tussle with during the back nine. Of the 52 courses played on the PGA Tour last year (including both setups at Chambers Bay), only 18 of them saw a four-day over-par field average. In other words, most of the time, courses are set up to be played under par, and the best golfers in the world are happy to accommodate. Obviously, the majority of the most difficult courses are U.S. Open tracks, thanks to the diabolical work of Mike Davis. And in the couple of years when non-U.S. Open tracks were the toughest, such as 2011 when Rory McIlroy assaulted a rain-softened Congressional, the tour’s toughest venues are still major...
