I read an article recently that Phil Mickelson was hoping that Seve Ballesteros would make it to this year’s Masters. As you may have heard, Ballesteros, the two-time Masters champion and emotional leader of the European contingent at every Ryder cup from 1983-1995, the captain of the European squad who won the Ryder Cup the first time it was ever played on continental Europe, was diagnosed with...

Tiger Woods is the most dominating player of this generation on the PGA Tour. No argument can be made against that statement. When he is on his game, he is utterly unbeatable. The man won a U.S. Open, arguably the hardest golf tournament on earth, with a broken leg! How many other players would have even made the cut? As the saying goes, though, pride goeth before destruction. The events...

Tiger Woods was eliminated yesterday when he blasted a 3-wood into the Arizona desert and lost to Thomas Bjorn in the first round of the WGC World Match Play event. That was after Woods made a putt on the 18th to extend the match to an extra hole. It turned out that putt only delayed the inevitable. Phil Mickelson was pummeled by Rickie Fowler today, 6 and 5. Phil was 1-up after three holes....

Bracket fever! I’m in the grips of bracket fever! A lot of people love betting on the brackets and I am one of them. I can’t wait for some of the intriguing match-ups. From what I understand, there is some other tournament that is going on in March. I remember reading about it somewhere, but I can’t remember what’s going on. The “bracketology” I’m talking about...

Since the 15th century, when Scottish shepherds first smacked rocks around the sandy links land next to the seas, golf has been a game for the masses. From kings to paupers, people the world over play this wonderful game. The PGA Tour returns to Pebble Beach for one of the classic tournaments on tour, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro—Am. This tournament, which has been contested on this...
