Well it was a fantastic achievement for South Korea to get the circuit ready in time, and whilst it was great to see so many supporters, I think many more experienced F1 fans will have found today’s session rather uniform and predictable. Qualifying One The green light opened proceedings and Kovalainen set the first time of 1:45:450. What followed was pretty much what has happened in every...

I think the 2010 Japanese Grand Prix was one of those races you could report either way. You could say that with multiple cars out by turn two, a close battle for the top five places, and a storming performance from Kobayashi, the race was great. However, it could also be said that the race was largely processional and a forgone conclusion. It really does depend what spin you choose to put on it. Whilst...

After a final practice session in which only Jamie Alguersuari and Timo Glock actually set a time, the chances of qualifying taking place were very slim. The rain that effectively cancelled P3 failed to ease and as a result Qualifying was finally cancelled at about 03:30 local time. This came after three delays at half-hour intervals. Qualifying will now take place tomorrow morning (weather permitting)....

Now I didn’t expect to be writing that title before or even during the 2010 Singapore GP! However, just as I was about to fall asleep, the race came alive and finally delivered on all the promises made by backers such as Bernie Eccolstone. It all could have been so different though as the race started cleanly and developed into a very processional affair. Alonso was aggressive but fair to hold...

Fernando Alonso has recently stated that qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix makes up 90 percent of the race. If this is true, then the Spaniard has done a fantastic job to put his Ferrari on pole. Qualifying One Liuzzi led the pack out and set the first time of 1:50:223. Early on in Q1 it looked as if the pundits’ predictions were correct. The McLarens looked decent, but they didn’t...

Fernando Alonso has become the first Ferrari driver to win in Monza since Schumacher in 2006. It was a hard fought and well deserved victory, but Alonso will have to say an extra special thank you to his team who delivered the perfect strategy after Jenson Button nearly rained on the Tifosi parade! Jenson Button may not have finished where he would have liked, but he too drove a storming grand prix...

For the first time since Brazil 2008 a Ferrari will start a Grand Prix from pole position and could it have been at a better track!? Indeed, Fernando Alonso’s performance marks only the second time a non Red Bull driver has occupied the top spot in 2010. So, with the positive result in Paris earlier in the week and a super strong show on track today, was the 2010 Italian Grand Prix qualifying...

That was unquestionably spectacular! Neither of my F1 heros finished the race today, but I still can’t wipe the smile from my face! There were few (if any) dull moments and rain fell exactly when it was needed; great stuff! The excitement began from ‘lights out’ when an unfortunate Webber struggled with his gears, giving Hamilton the lead and causing a close but safe...

What can you say about Spa, eh? What a brilliant restart to the season we were treated to today. For the first time in 2010, Q1 was actually worth watching, Q2 provided shocks, and although Q3 was a little flat, it has produced a tantalizing grid! Qualifying One Di Grassi opened the session, followed by almost all the other drivers. Belgium’s weather has been as unpredictable...

After all the disappointments and controversies surrounding the last race, and after such a boring qualifying session yesterday, it was really refreshing to see Formula One go off on it’s holidays with a great race and top winner behind them. It all could have been so different though and when it really comes down to it we were all saved by a vital tiny moment on lap 16. The start was tense...
