Novak Djokovic is on fire right now. Coming out of the spring hard court swing, he is undefeated, with the third-best start ever on the men’s tour. His confidence is off the charts and he’s beating up on his two rivals, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Can anything stop the Djokovic Djuggernaut? Rafael Nadal is King! Long live the new King of New York! With all the hoopla and media frenzy over Rafael Nadal’s recent US Open tennis triumph and his completion of tennis’ career Grand Slam, there is another record that Nadal may be overtaking a few years down the road: Pete Sampras’ record of weeks as the No. 1 ranked tennis player in the world. Well, it’s looking more and more likely heading into the U.S. Open’s final weekend that we’re going to see a Federer vs. Nadal tennis final for the first time at Flushing Meadows. The French/Wimbledon lollapalooza felt like a blur, and for the men, it seemed to decide everything but our next president in the span of about six weeks. If the headlines are to be believed, we now know that Nadal is King and the year-end No. 1, Roger Federer has hit the skids, and the Big Hitters are the new big thing, led by the vanguard of Robin Soderling, Tomas Berdych, and Juan Martin del Potro....

It’s time to say it. Rafael Nadal is the new Roger Federer. Sure, Nadal was No. 1 before, for almost a year in 2008. But he was laboring and battling, and Federer was in top form as well, so it didn’t really feel permanent. Now it does. Nadal is No. 1 again, and this time it doesn’t look like he will let go again. He’s 24 years old, and in many ways better than he was in 2008....

Wimbledon has officially turned into a Serving Contest. Do away with the scoreboard for sets, points, etc. . .Get rid of the opponent on the other side of the net. Just make this tournament about Big Serves. Make it a point system that grades on the percentage of serves in the box, maybe bonus points for placement, but above all, make it about the Radar Gun. Whoever lights up the radar gun to the highest...
