Daytona State Golfer Ericka Schneider Headed to Ole Miss

Ericka, the fourth place finisher in last year's NJCAA national tournament and postseason NJCAA All American, selected Ole Miss over other such programs as FSU, UCF, USF, and Ohio State.
Coach Brown calls this announcement, "A testament to what we try to accomplish at Daytona State. Our first priority is always to work hard to prepare our young women to be successful in the future—be it in academics or athletics. In Ericka's case, she has the talent and the drive to take her game to the next level. She showed tremendous improvement over the last year and it comes as no surprise to see her attract the attention of a top flight SEC program."
Ericka's long ball game, work ethic, performance under pressure, and teamwork experience all blend well with Ole Miss Head Coach Michelle Drinkard's program. Ironically, Drinkard initially contacted Brown about other Falcon prospects but was sold on Ericka once Brown discussed her strengths.
Brown states, "Drinkard came down to watch the NJCAA National Tournament and she followed Ericka the entire time. By the end of the tourney, Drinkard was sold on Ericka's game and attitude. When they met it seemed like the perfect fit."
Ericka will complete her sophomore year at Daytona State and enter classes at Ole Miss in the fall of 2011. The Falcons, last year's NJCAA National Champions, are expected to vie for the championship again this year.
