Soon Roy Hodgson will select the England squad he wants to take to Euro 2012. So, it will be interesting to see which players he wants to select for the first game. I suspect he will not put out many surprises and will select some tried and tested names. However, he does have to have one eye on the future. And think about the players that might be taking over from some of our current experienced names....

It has been reported that Golf Channel’s Morning Drive co-host, Erik Kuselias, has been reassigned by NBC Sports to another segment of the NBC family. Just as Adele would sing it “Rumor Has It.” he and fellow Golf Channel Morning Drive co-hostess Holly Sonders were having an affair, according to Deadspin.com. Kuselias’ contract with ESPN was not renewed at the end of 2010,...

Yes, the Premier League is over for the season. I know—I can’t really believe it either. But at least we football fans have the European Championships this summer to look forward to. In the spirit of English football, the Euros and the fact that Roy Hodgson will be announcing his tournament squad of 23 this week, let’s look no further than a topic that draws heated debates every week: Who...

Roger Federer enters his bid for a 2012 French Open title with less fanfare and expectations than rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Is it possible the Swiss Maestro is being overlooked? Federer’s journey through years of clay has been excruciating because of his talent and success. It’s a special kind of pain resulted from brilliant play but bitter defeat. He is one of the greatest...

The Euro 2012 England squad will be better off without center back John Terry. The team will look to buck the trend of lackluster performances in international competitions. Terry, the long-time skipper of the team, is shrouded in controversy and will only be a distraction as England strives for success. He is being charged with using racist language against Queens Park Rangers‘ Anton Ferdinand. The...

Now that the Olympians have been named, it certainly rules out a few players that were in the “maybe” category for the World and European Champions. Begin...

With solid performances at The Players Championship, a few golfers are leaving Sawgrass with plenty of positive momentum. While several players collapsed under the pressure at TPC (Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Kevin Na), some excelled under the bright spotlight. The following golfers should feel the best going forward. Rickie Fowler The young gun continued his hot streak, finishing tied for second...

More than enough fuss has already been made over the disappointments from The Players Championship. From Tiger Woods struggling over the weekend to Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell failing to make the cut, there’s no shortage of negativity on which all the Nancys and Neds could easily seize. But what about all the sparkling performances at TPC Sawgrass? All told, 44 players finished in the red....

Tiger Woods‘ performance at the 2012 Players Championship was a big bust, but he’s not the only golfer whose results were underwhelming at Sawgrass this year. I’m not a Tiger hater or anything. I actually prefer watching golf when Tiger is playing well. Unfortunately, these days he’s just not at the top of his game, and watching him struggle to hit the ball in fairways and onto...

I won’t overreact to Tiger’s less-than-stellar performance at The Players Championship and say he’ll never win another major, blah, blah, blah. But I can’t ignore some disappointing aspects of his play this weekend. Tiger hasn’t exactly set the world on fire at TPC Sawgrass in his career, but I did expect him to have a little stronger showing. Here are the low lights: Finish...
