The USA’s best hope of a Wimbledon win dissolved this afternoon as Feliciano Lopez dissected Andy Roddick in straight sets, 7-6, 7-6, 6-4. Roddick departed the court quickly after Lopez took the match point, with his head bowed, acknowledging the crowd’s applause with his racket.
